How it works

The solution’s algorithm will run on each frame of the videos and detect if a person is wearing a face mask or not. This works by harnessing a supervised Machine Learning (ML) technique, which is used to classify a person’s face ‘with mask’ or ‘without a mask’.

Similarly, it will monitor whether social distancing norms are followed as per the guideline. The highly responsive solution is also enabled to send a notification to the administrator in case anyone is detected flouting the COVID-19 safety guidelines.

It calculates the distance between two people detected in a frame, based on a mathematical formula. From there it generates statistics for a frame like total person count, safe count, low-risk count, and high-risk count such as:

1. Total person count is the number of people present in a frame
2. Safe count is the number of people present in a frame and they are maintaining social distancing.
3. Low-risk count is the number of people who are nearly close to each other.
4. High-risk count is the number of people who are standing next to each other.

1. The AI solution comes with interactive dashboard visualization that displays daily statistics as per the detections made in real-time.
2. Even in case of multiple CCTV being integrated, it will display and the marked area where most of the people are not wearing masks/ or not maintaining social distancing.
3. Optional settings available of saving the image of the person not wearing a mask or not maintaining social distancing.
